ACCA joins Green Marine as a new association promoting sustainable cruising

March 9, 2026

Green Marine is pleased to welcome the Atlantic Canada Cruise Association (ACCA) among its association members. Through this membership, the ACCA will serve as an ambassador for the Green Marine environmental certification program, strengthening its commitment to responsible, environmentally conscious cruise tourism.

Founded in 1996, the ACCA is a partnership of ports, tourism organizations, cruise lines, the four provincial governments, Parks Canada, and the Atlantic Canada Opportunities Agency.  Together, they support the responsible growth of cruise tourism through coordinated marketing, business development, and community-focused destination stewardship.

The ACCA offers a cruise experience deeply rooted in Atlantic culture. Across the provinces of New Brunswick, Nova Scotia, Prince Edward Island, and Newfoundland and Labrador, the region’s ports connect travellers with spectacular scenery, living history, vibrant cities, charming coastal communities, exceptional culinary experiences, and the warmth of the people who call these places home.

By joining Green Marine, ACCA becomes part of a network of associations playing a crucial role in mobilizing the maritime industry. They contribute to the program by encouraging their members to join and by promoting the efforts and successes of Green Marine participants. ACCA’s membership strengthens this collaboration while amplifying the Atlantic region’s contribution to sustainable maritime tourism.
