A new employee joins Green Marine’s ranks

Green Marine is pleased to welcome a new employee within its team! 

Allison Ryan joined the Green Marine team in January 2024 and holds the position of Program Manager. Being based in St. John’s, NL, she coordinates the North Atlantic Advisory Committee and supports the program’s East Coast participants in both Canada and the U.S. She is also involved in reviewing and developing the Green Marine program’s requirements and supports the external verification process.

Prior to Green Marine, Allison worked in a multitude of industries, including government, mining, shipping, and pharmaceuticals, with varying roles in Health, Safety, Environment, and Quality. She has played key roles in the development, maintenance, and improvement of HSEQ management systems and has first-hand experience with critical issues such as effluent management, emissions, and solid waste management.

Allison holds a Bachelor of Science degree, with a major in Chemistry, from St. Francis Xavier University and has pursued post-graduate education in Environmental Practices, Health & Safety, and Risk Management. She is eager to be back in the maritime industry and is looking forward to supporting the program’s mission in the years to come.
