Énergir completed its 100th bunkering of liquefied natural gas (LNG) as a marine fuel on January 3, 2020. The bunkering supplied LNG to five Groupe Desgagnés vessels. It replaced marine diesel, eliminating more than 13,000 tonnes of greenhouse gas emissions since 2017 – the equivalent of taking 3,250 cars off Quebec roads. Énergir’s LNG bunkering solution has been available to all shipowners with vessels passing through the Port of Montréal since 2017, and the Port of Québec since 2018.
