What a great pleasure it was for Green Marine to hold its annual conference, GreenTech 2016, in Quebec City under the theme: Mapping the future of sustainable shipping. This return to home port was very successful with the 9th annual conference drawing 226 delegates, including 17 exhibitors and 34 speakers. This largest-ever participation in a GreenTech conference far exceeded our expectations! The participation and the generous support of our sponsors made GreenTech 2016 a financial success, which is essential with all profits being reinvested into further developing Green Marine’s environmental program. Thank you to everyone who contributed to the success of this important annual gathering of the North American maritime industry!
GreenTech 2016’s success was achieved by striking the right balance of informative presentations, networking opportunities, access to new technologies, a chance to explore the maritime environment where the event took place, and a good dose of camaraderie. The presenters and the discussion panels, the exhibition space, the opening Fish’n’Ships cocktail event, the Port of Québec cruise tour and the Certification Dinner all combined to provide GreenTech 2016 delegates with a relevant, entertaining symposium – as evidenced by the resulting content and images!
