Wood to expand Renewable Energy Group's biodiesel production

One of Green Marine partners, Wood, a global leader specializing in energy transition, is working with Renewable Energy Group (REG), a leading U.S. producer of renewable diesel, to expand REG’s fuel offering in response to the increasing demand for low-carbon energy sources.

Under the agreement, Wood is providing its engineering, procurement and construction management expertise to support REG’s project to enhance and expand its biorefinery in Geismar, Louisiana, taking the production capacity to 340 million gallons (1.54 billion litres) from 90 million gallons (409 million litres). The project will also improve operational reliability and logistics.
