A product to detect oil-on-water in real-time: the Remote Optical Water (ROW) from Laser Diagnostic Instruments (LDI)

SCADALLIANCE (a Green Marine Partner) is introducing the Remote Optical Water (ROW) oil-on-water detection system from Laser Diagnostic Instruments (LDI) as a non-contact instrument for compact real-time monitoring.

The new technology monitors water 24/7 at key anchorage, berthing or refuelling locations within a port to provide an immediate alert if there is an oil leak so that the clean-up response is as prompt as possible.

Designed to be deployed in rugged marine environments, LDI’s ROW small footprint and minimal power consumption facilitate a fixed place installation really close to the operations area of anchored, berthed or refuelling vessels. ROW’s compact size and remote operation also makes it easy to deploy on offshore monitoring buoys to have the sensors effectively working in the middle of shipping traffic.
