Énergir’s 100th LNG refuelling at the Port of Quebec

On Dec. 3rd, Énergir completed its 100th liquified natural gas (LNG) ship bunkering at the Port of Quebec.

These 100 bunkers made it possible to supply LNG to five vessels owned by Groupe Desgagnés, a Quebec ship owner participating in Green Marine. Groupe Desgagnés is committed to implementing an LNG bunkering system as marine fuel and counts among its fleet several vessels with dual-fuel engines that facilitate LNG’s use.

LNG is a cleaner energy alternative to petroleum products that permits shipowners to comply with increasingly stringent regulations regarding polluting emissions within North American waterways and in the Emission Control Areas (ECAs) worldwide.
