Green Marine welcomes its newest supporter member, Nets for Net Zero

Nets for Net Zero is a new Canadian non-profit organization working to clear ghost fishing gear from the ocean and repurpose it as part of a transparent circular economic system. An estimated 64,000 tonnes of fishing nets are lost or discarded in oceans annually, often entangling marine life. Nets for Net Zero is building a network for environmental organizations and the for-profit sector to work together in finding solutions for the ghost fishing gear problem in Canadian waters and beyond. The solutions put forward by Nets for Net Zero include research and technology investments, circular economy advocacy, circular materials networking, as well as supply chain consulting.
