SOS 2019 will focus on the blue economy

Investing in Ocean Futures: Finance and Innovation for the Blue Economy will be the focus of the 7th Sustainable Ocean Summit (SOS) 2019 this November 20-22 in Paris, France. SOS 2019 is the first comprehensive global private sector event on investment and innovation for ocean sustainable development.

The World Ocean Council’s SOS is the annual gathering of the global Ocean Business Community dedicated to advancing private sector action on responsible use of the seas. SOS 2019’s chair is Frédéric Moncany de Saint-Aignan, who is president of the French Maritime Cluster.

Since 2010, the SOS has gathered leaders from the diverse Ocean Business Community (involved in shipping, fisheries, oil and gas, aquaculture, offshore renewables, tourism, seabed mining, marine technology, law, insurance, finance and other fields), as well as ocean stakeholders from the government, inter-governmental agencies, science and environment communities, to focus on industry-driven action for corporate ocean responsibility.
