Seaspan contributes to Pacific salmon restoration

Seaspan has announced a $25,000 contribution to the Pacific Salmon Foundation’s Community Salmon Program. The funds will go toward a multi-phase project in Lower Mosquito Creek, spearheaded by the local community in the North Vancouver, British Columbia, area.

The Pacific Salmon Foundation, which is a Green Marine supporter, will focus the restoration efforts on developing estuary habitat in a part of the creek bordered by the Mosquito Creek Marina and the Squamish Nation’s marina and float home community. The area is subject to tidal flooding, and surging salt water can deliver food and other nutrients for the salmon.
