Let’s Connect: A new chapter in BC Ferries’ community relations

BC Ferries introduced Let’s Connect as its new community engagement framework on May 1st. Designed to better meet the expectations of coastal residents and enhance transparency in decision-making, the framework provides a clear and structured approach to public consultation. The initiative derives from BC Ferries seeking to improve how it integrates local concerns into its planning while continuing to enhance the quality of its services.

Prioritizing accessibility, clarity and transparency, Let’s Connect offers diverse engagement tools, such as digital platforms, community sessions, and surveys, to encourage active participation. Each consultation is guided by well-defined objectives to build trust and understanding between the organization and its community stakeholders.

The engagement framework reflects the ongoing commitment of BC Ferries to sustainability in alignment with Green Marine’s Community Relations performance indicator, which focuses on the quality of relations with various community stakeholders through open and transparent communications.
