Green Marine and ACPA sign an agreement

Green Marine’ s annual conference, GreenTech 2014, is off to a good start in Saint John Brunswick. Green Marine and the Association of Canadian Port Authorities (ACPA) signed this morning a Memorandum of Understanding to advance environmental sustainability at Canadian Ports. ACPA and Green Marine agreed to work together to facilitate the participation of ACPA member ports and their tenants in the Green Marine environmental program. The two organizations will undertake specific actions and initiatives such as:
- Promoting environmental performance beyond regulatory compliance and continuous improvement
- Benchmarking industry performance
- Continuing the development and recruiting efforts of the Green Marine program
- Developing consistent data reporting
ACPA’s President, Wendy Zatylny and Green Marine’s President, Raymond Johnston during the signing ceremony. The MoU was signed at GreenTech 2014 opening session focusing on ports moving towards greater sustainability.
